4.  The After Party

The party after “The Party” has been a long standing tradition for younger couple who want to have fun dancing with their grandma at their wedding and change clothes to dance dirty with their new husband or wife while their cousins and friends continue to drink and party into the wee hours.  Couples will continue to do this the traditional way but in the new year more budget conscience brides will continue this tradition by having longer hours on reception venues.  For these couples the reception will be divided onto three sections.   The cocktail hour, the dinner hours where the traditional wedding activities will take place and the extended 2-3 hours where it is time for grandma to go to
bed and the real party can begin.

3. Food Trucks

In the last few months there has been a small wave of gourmet food trucks companies springing up and these mobile kitchens are going to make a huge wave in 2013.  This trend adds a cool and original ingredient to your wedding and is budget friendly.  Most companies deliver locally and provide clean up service and the cost of plates, napkins, and utensils are eliminated.  Having gourmet hot dogs or grilled
cheese truck provide your guests with good food at your casual park
wedding!  A great idea would be to hire a few different trucks for your guests to have a variety of edibles.  Always check the license, insurance and food score of any food truck you hire.

2.  Color Craze

No more boring pink, or red or yellow.  This wedding season going green is not just for the tree huggers.  Everything from mint green to chartreuse green is all over the design boards says Becky Brooks of BZ
Events.  The melodic pattern of green will be the inspiration for linens, cocktails, cakes and wedding stationary.  For a more
sophisticated and radiant look, emerald green is best incorporated in the spring or charcoal grey in the winter.

The all white wedding is making a comeback.  The old wives tale of only wearing white if you’re a virgin is out the window in 2013.  Instead of white symbolizing the bride’s virtue it now represents the sanctity of the
couple.  The white wedding goes well with rustic chic for an outdoor or western theme, mixed with rhinestones and diamond bling for a glamorous theme, and most other traditional themes.

Other colorful combinations include bright orange and cobalt blue
with accents of gold, sea foam green and tangerine with silver accents and champagne and bright purple with light lilac accents.

1.  A Dress for Every Taste

When it comes to the millions of varieties of wedding dresses, it
is predicted that more brides will go with colorful dresses, watercolor dresses and short wedding dresses.  One small upgrade to wedding that is expected to boom in the upcoming year is pockets. Lace embellishments are also making a comeback.  Instead of the entire dress having a lace overlay, a lace veils, and lace bridal purse, lace trim on bridal bouquets or trim on the dress will be much more in style
this year.  Other pops of color for wedding dresses include red, black and sexy dress backs.
