A Little Bling Goes A Long Way

 If you are a having a jazzier affair
with a little more sparkle than usual, I applaud you. 
I love touches of dimonique stones or shiny clear bedazzling beads to set
the mood of contemporary and classy right off. 
There are many ways to incorporate this glamorous element into your wedding scheme. The trick is to either present the bling as a show or feature piece with other more subtle arrangements surrounding or feature a more toned down piece and jazz up its surroundings with tiny and impressionable bling pieces. 
Here is a short but detailed list of
some ways to feature a blinged out look without looking gaudy or in the most extreme cases of too much of a good thing, the bling itself is overwhelming instead of the tiny sparkle of love we want to express. 


Do:
The dress, the only one in the party with clear thin line of bling in
any one area of the dress or a detailing of bling all over.

A small sparkle train of bling in your veil

Mother / Grandmother of Bride & Groom get a jeweled pin instead of corsage

Bridal Bouquet, diamond and colored jewels mixed bling in bouquet + toss a smaller jeweled version

Use Bling out message stickers on the bottoms of your wedding shoes for great pics. 

Have your made of honor / bridesmaids with similar bling jewelry as
gifts i.e earrings, necklace, hair pin

Have Bling confetti instead of rose petals to lead you down the
aisle

Have a bling Hurricane Centerpiece 5 feet off the table and cascading calla lilies that fall only halfway down the own the
vase nestled among small ivory votive candles on a heart shaped
mirror plate.

Have a small pot belly silver vase with a simple arrangement of pink and yellow roses with a variety of silver candle holders, with dozens of blinged out candles, bling napkin holders, gold or silver bling around the rims of the glasses.

Have cupcakes instead of wedding cake with a tiny blinged out monogram letter for each guest

Have a thin delicate trim of bling on your guest table overlay

Use edible bling in the Reception Menu

Bling out your candy buffet display containers


Don’t


Bling out the entire top half or bottom half of dress in some shapes it
makes the dress look unbalanced meaning heavier or noticeably smaller on the top half or bottom

Bling out all the bridal party flowers

Bling out all the wedding party dresses

Bling out the entrance or exit to or from wedding aisle
(Too much of a good thing. Remember?).

Have the blinged out 5ft tall hurricane vase and the blinged out
candles and the bling napkin holders and the gold or silver rim on the glasses

Have a wedding cake with more than one blinged layer, preferably the top layer

Have either a blinged out overlay or table cloth

Bling out any part of the menu without any alternative

Bling out the entire candy buffet i.e. the table cloth the napkins, the
bags, the scoops, and candy…..who remembers which rule this violates?  Exactly!
