So after all your months of planning, the big day is here! You have your dress, his tux, the caterer is here along with the photographer and your band is sound checking for your rehearsal. Are you ready? Well maybe, maybe not. It never comes as a surprise when we mention these small but important details to brides early in the process they give the same answer, "I never thought of that." There are small details involved with your big day that if are not addressed in a timely manner can cause delays. Check out this list of five things you never knew you needed for your wedding day. 1. Alone Time For the Bride Too many brides plan to have a gang of girls around them from the time they open their eyes til the grand exit to signal the end of the night. This is a mistake. A bride is going to be the center of attention for the entire day. It is important to take some time for yourself to get your mind right before the curtain goes up on the production of your wedding. . Wake up alone and shower and pre dress in a normal and unrushed manner. Collect your thoughts and then open your door to the beginning of the fun with the faces of your maid of honor, bridesmaids and all other band members to get ready for your new life. 2. Breakfast, Lunch or Brunch For Your Wedding Party Everyone always makes sure the bride has a bite to eat as she is the star of show and we can't have her light headed during the 3pm ceremony on an empty stomach. But what about her supporting cast? Your wedding party is on the same stressful schedule you are and it is just as important that they are nourished and steady on their feet for the long day of festivities. 3. Beauty Appointments for Everyone Let me first say, the bride and groom are in no way obligated to pay for the hair and make up for the wedding party. Having said that, you should plan an opportunity for them. Let them know the issue is optional you just want them to be aware of their options. The issue of hair and make up is not only an issue for the bride. On the same hand, men who would need a freshly cut head for the big day should also be provided a styling option. 4. A Break With Your New Spouse After the your memorable walk down the aisle, your face streaming tears during the romantic ceremony and the first thousand photos you have smiled for and before the continued festivities of the reception, steal away a pre planned mini getaway with your new love. This can be done in a your getting ready room or in the limo on the way to the cocktail hour photo shoot. A good fifteen, twenty minutes to get your look back together for your grand entrance and minutes of alone time to reflect on the perfect moments you just shared becoming partners for life. 5. A Wedding Toast Strategy Ever almost fell asleep watching dozens of people waiting to pay their respects and give congrats to the bride and groom after the official toasts by the maid of honor, best man and parents? Zzzzzz! This is not the time to tell the thirty minute story about the antics of you and the groom during college that made you life long friends. All the precious dance time is being blown away with the long wind of most speakers. Coordinate with your planner and D.J to ensure to conserve on time and keep things running at a steady pace. Key word running not crawling Taking care of these small issues can make a big difference in the reduction of stress on not only you and your new spouse but also the people who spent time and money to show how much they support your marriage and love to be supporting cast in your love story.
